Clemson is an R-I land grant institution located in upstate South Carolina—a global university with a mission to serve the diverse communities of our state. In 2016 Clemson inaugurated Clemson Forward, a strategic plan to strengthen its research profile, diversity, and workplace quality of life. The English Department has taken a leading role in pursuing these goals by confronting legacies of violence and nurturing traditions of political and intellectual organizing on our campus. For this reason, the search committee is especially interested to hear from candidates who bring to their research and teaching the diverse perspectives that come from non-traditional educational backgrounds or an understanding of the experience of those under-represented in higher education.

Application Procedures: for full consideration please submit a cover letter outlining your interest in and qualifications for the position and a copy of your updated curriculum vitae to Interfolio by October 15, 2021
