The Department of Literatures in English at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Film Studies, to begin August 1, 2022. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and teaching of a diverse and inclusive undergraduate curriculum, including interdisciplinary programs and college-wide initiatives such as the 360 Program and the Emily Balch Seminars.  In the Department of Literatures in English, faculty teach at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum. We are interested in scholars whose work spans literary and film studies. The successful candidate is expected to teach the core course of our major, Methods of Literary Study, and to contribute to Bryn Mawr’s Film Studies program, including both introductory and advanced courses.  All areas of film studies expertise are welcome, but we especially encourage applications from scholars with the following specializations: global Anglophone or Asian American and Pacific Islander cinema, television and/or new media.  Candidates must have completed all Ph.D. requirements by the start date.
