Full, Associate, or Assistant Professorship in Global Anglophone Literatures

The Department of English at Johns Hopkins University announces a search for a scholar of global Anglophone literatures, rank of appointment open. The applicant should have a primary research field in Anglophone writing of one or more of the following areas: Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Oceania, Indigenous North America. We particularly welcome applications from the following: comparatists; scholars whose research is focused on periods before 1900; scholars of poetry and poetics; scholars who would create synergy with the research of our faculty, including an expected appointment in Asian American literature. We strongly encourage applications from women and members of other social groups historically underrepresented in higher education in the humanities. The appointee must hold a doctorate in English or a related discipline by the start of appointment, 1 July 2022. The appointee will be expected to teach two courses per semester. Qualifications

A PhD is required, but we will accept applications from doctoral students who expect to fulfill PhD degree requirements by 1 July 2022.
