The Florida State University English Department invites applications for a tenure-track, open-rank position to begin fall 2022. Doctoral degree or the highest degree appropriate from an accredited institution with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service is required. Academic specialty in rhetoric and composition with particular area(s) of expertise open. At least three years of experience teaching at the post-secondary level, with an established record of mentoring diverse students and a publication history commensurate with the expectations of a Highest Research Activity doctoral institution.

Teaching assignment four courses per academic year. In addition to teaching, responsibilities include leadership and participation in a thriving graduate program in Rhetoric and Composition.  Competitive salary.
