Assistant/Associate Professor in Linguistics

The English department at the University of Colorado Denver invites applications for a Tenure Track Advanced Assistant or Associate Professor in Linguistics who will also serve as the Academic Director of the English as a Second Language Academy (50%), pending budgetary approval.  Primary specialization in English as a Second/Other Language.  Secondary specialization open.  Tenure home in either the Department of English or Modern Languages, depending on research and teaching expertise.  Teaching load is 1/1 with research and service expectations.   • Experience supervising and mentoring administrative staff
  • Expertise in Reading, Writing, and Communicating across the Curriculum
  • Experience in an Intensive English Program
  • Experience recruiting international students
