Assistant Professor, Race, Diaspora, and Empire: Asian American, Asian Diasporic Literature

Description:

As part of our developing emphasis on race, diaspora, and empire, the Department of English at Vanderbilt University seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor in twentieth- and/or twenty-first-century Asian American, Pacific Island, or Asian-diasporic literature or media. We invite candidates who work on the cultural histories and theories of race, diaspora, colonialism, indigeneity, and/or gender and sexuality. We are especially interested in comparative approaches across regions and languages.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. before July 2022 in English, comparative literature, or another related field. Evidence of effective and inclusive teaching is essential.
