ROLE of the POSITION

The Department of English at UNLV seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Contemporary British Multiethnic/Global Anglophone Literatures. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in and beyond this field of specialization. Appointment will begin in fall 2022 and applicants must have a Ph.D. in English or a related field by time of appointment.  The English Department collaborates closely with the Beverly Rogers, Carol C. Harter Black Mountain Institute (BMI), an international literary center bringing writers into the heart of public life.  Together, we produce the Believer, Witness, and Interim magazines, as well as three peer-reviewed publications: MELUS, The Ben Jonson Journal, and Popular Culture Review.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Ph.D. from a regionally accredited college or university, in English or a related field. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.

SALARY RANGE

Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
