Assistant Professor of English

The Creative Writing Program in the Department of Humanities at Lebanon Valley College invites applications for an Assistant Professor (3-year renewable, non-tenure track) with a specialization in Creative Writing (Poetry or Scriptwriting), to begin Fall 2022. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching and the ability to teach a variety of courses in creative writing at the undergraduate level, including within our general education program. The successful candidate will be engaged in helping to sustain and develop a growing creative writing program and to collaborate with other programs within the Humanities. We seek a candidate committed to inclusive teaching strategies and community growth. We are especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. The qualified applicant will have a terminal degree in Creative Writing (MFA) and/or English (PhD), publication record, and demonstrated engagement in the writing community. Due to the pandemic, this year we will forgo on-site MLA meetings and conduct interviews by Zoom.
