Open-rank faculty position, Department of English Language and Literature

The Department of English Language and Literature at Bilkent University, Ankara, invites applications for an open-rank faculty position. We shall consider applications from scholars with research interests in any subfield of English literature.

Minimum requirements are a Ph.D. in English or comparative literature in hand by May 2022, a good teaching record, and a clearly defined research agenda. Candidates should be able to offer specialized teaching in their research field, and should also be well prepared to teach across all genres and periods of English Literature. The starting date for this post is September 2022. The standard teaching load for full-time faculty members is 3+3, with a reduced teaching load of 2+3 for the first three years of the appointment.

The Department of English Language and Literature currently offers an undergraduate programme that covers British, Irish, and postcolonial literatures, and ranges from the medieval period to the present day.
