Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Studies

The Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures invites candidates to apply for the position of Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Studies. We seek a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of modern French and Francophone Literature and Culture (19th-21st centuries), to start August 6, 2022. Applicants with a record of outstanding teaching in French language and whose scholarly interests focus on contemporary France, Global France, French and Francophone literatures and cultures are strongly encouraged to apply. A PhD in French and Francophone Studies (completed by August 6, 2022) is required. The teaching load is three courses per semester and will include all levels of French language, literature, and culture.

We welcome applications from candidates whose research has a strong interdisciplinary focus, with a secondary area of expertise in Digital Humanities, Visual Studies, Ecocriticism, Media Studies, or Gender Studies.
