Assistant Professor of English (Film Studies), Tenure-track

ENGLISH. Literature / Film Studies / New Media. Elon University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level, beginning mid-August 2020. Requirements: PhD in relevant field; a record of innovation and excellence in teaching; demonstrated commitment to teaching first-year writing and introductory literature courses. Applicants whose teaching and scholarship bridge literary, cinematic and emergent narrative forms are especially welcome. 

 

Teaching will include film studies and/or new media, first-year writing, and courses in the Elon Core Curriculum, including introductory literature courses for nonmajors. Candidates who have experience working with a diverse range of people, and who can contribute to the climate of inclusivity are encouraged to identify their experiences in their cover letter.
