Affiliate Assistant Professor of Spanish

JOB DESCRIPTION

The University of Dallas Constantin College of Liberal Arts is hiring for an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Spanish with interest in Contemporary Latin American literature, especially poetry. Secondary interests in translation, Spanish for the professions, and/or Spanish for Heritage learners are desirable. This is a full-time, nine-month, renewable, non-tenure-track position. The start date is August 16, 2022.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

This position involves teaching a wide range of lower and upper-division courses in language, literature, and culture outside the specialization. Course load is three courses per semester. Candidates should have a PhD at time of appointment, native-like command of Spanish, and university teaching experience beyond their specialization. Candidates should demonstrate scholarly potential and be willing to engage in both departmental and university service.
