The English Department at Oklahoma State University seeks to hire a tenure track assistant professor in British Literature and culture, pre-1500. Applicants focusing in any genre, critical approach, or across fields in this historical period are welcome. Scholars with interests in digital studies, the global premodern, and gender studies would complement strengths both within the department and across the College of Arts and Sciences. The faculty member would teach two courses a semester at the graduate and undergraduate levels, primarily focusing on medieval and early modern literature, and conduct research in their field of specialization. The English Department and the College of Arts and Sciences provide ample opportunity to define an individual research agenda, and the University is a member of the Newberry Library Center for Renaissance Studies Consortium. Course Load: 1/2 in first year, 2/2 in subsequent years.
