Assistant Professor of English

English Workplace Writing/Journalism Position 20220064

The Fairmont State University Department of Humanities seeks a tenure-track English/Journalism faculty member to support the General Studies Writing for the Workplace course, the English Writing for the Workplace concentration and the writing aspect of the Communication program.  The teaching load includes four Composition and/or Journalism courses per semester, including collection of course assessment data.  In addition, the successful candidate will also serve as faculty sponsor for either campus yearbook or newspaper and will demonstrate an energetic commitment to recruiting and retaining majors.

We are particularly seeking candidates with experience in fields such as Composition and Rhetoric, Journalism, Technical Writing, Legal Writing, or Digital Humanities.

Ph.D. in English, Composition and Rhetoric, Journalism, or related professional writing discipline required.
