The Center for Women’s and Gender Studies (unit in the College of Arts, Sciences & Education) at Florida International University (FIU) seeks applications for one non-tenure track full-time, twelve-month Assistant Teaching Professor or Associate Teaching Professor. Teaching professor positions are in-unit faculty positions, which include full benefits and follow a promotion schedule that mirrors that of tenure-track faculty. Teaching assignments are face-to-face and/or online. Prior teaching experience is desirable, and applicants should provide evidence of their ability to teach introductory and upper-level courses in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.

The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies or related disciplines. Potential areas of interest include transnational women’s and/or queer literature; intersectional approaches to health disparities; gender-inclusive health studies; and disability studies with an emphasis on Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Successful candidates will show a strong record or evidence of promise for quality undergraduate teaching, advising, and mentoring.
