The Amherst College Department of Spanish invites applications for a full-time one-year visiting appointment at the rank of visiting assistant professor, which will begin on July 1, 2022. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in hand by the start of the appointment.  

The field of specialization is open, with a preference for Latinx studies. Candidates must have instructional experience with heritage language learner courses and a demonstrated excellence in teaching. Duties include teaching two courses per semester, student mentoring, and possibly directing an undergraduate thesis.
