The School of Arts and Humanities at The University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for the Leah and Paul Lewis Chair of Holocaust Studies. The successful candidate's research and teaching should be anchored in European literature and the Holocaust, broadly conceived, and may engage with theoretical problems and questions such as those that surround trauma and memory, the politics of human rights, ethics, and aesthetic form and representation. A PhD in an appropriate field is required as well as a record of excellence in scholarship and teaching. We welcome applications from faculty currently holding the rank of associate or full professor. Responsibilities include graduate and undergraduate courses as part of our B.A., M.A., and PhD programs in Literature, as well as the interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Studies.
 

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, research, and service. We are seeking candidates who have demonstrated ability to lead and/or work collaboratively in academic settings comprised of individuals of diverse backgrounds, skills, and perspectives.
