The English Department at Whitman College is seeking candidates for a one-year position in Creative Writing, with expertise in poetry, at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor of English—Creative Writing (or Visiting Instructor—Creative Writing, if ABD), beginning August, 2022. An M.F.A. or Ph.D. is required. An equal opportunity employer, Whitman College values diversity and encourages applications from members of underrepresented groups.

The successful candidate will offer introductory, intermediate, and advanced courses in poetry-writing, as well as an introductory course on the analysis of poetry.
