Competitive applicants will show significant evidence of both scholarly promise and teaching excellence, and demonstrate scholarly expertise in literatures of any period from circa 700 to 1700 alongside a broad international or multilingual scope beyond the Anglophone, British, and European domains. We are especially interested in applicants who situate their approaches to premodern literatures in a global context, and/or who work in race/ethnic studies.
