One-Year Appointment 2022-23

WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY’s Department of German and Russian invites applications for a one-year non-renewable position in German/German Studies at the level of Visiting Assistant Professor of German, beginning in July 2022. The area of specialization is open. The teaching load is 3 courses per semester, and may include courses in language, literature, and culture. A Ph.D. in hand is preferred by the start of the appointment, but advanced ABD candidates will also be considered. Native or near-native fluency in German is required.

The successful candidate will have prior experience as a primary classroom instructor and will be able to provide evidence of teaching excellence.  Aside from teaching duties, the candidate is expected to participate actively in the life of the department, including extra-curricular activities with students.
