Director of Composition/Rhetoric

The Department of English at Fordham University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach in and direct the Writing Program at its Lincoln Center campus. We are looking for a candidate with both significant administrative experience and wide knowledge of recent developments in the teaching of writing, especially around pedagogies that are inclusive. We welcome a range of literary and composition/rhetoric areas of specialization; the successful candidate will have proven strategies for working in classrooms of students with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Responsibilities include shaping curriculum, staffing courses, supervising and evaluating lecturers, graduate students, and adjunct faculty, and coordinating with the composition director at the Rose Hill campus.
