Summary of Duties:

Appointment terms are up to three academic years beginning in Autumn 2022, with the possibility of renewals based on positive performance and department needs. A full-time (100%) appointment entails teaching four language courses per semester. Teaching duties include in-person and online German language courses at the beginning and intermediate levels.

Required qualifications:

Master’s degree or PhD in German Studies; native or near-native fluency in German; record of excellence in teaching college level German language courses; strong understanding of current best practices in world language pedagogy; willingness and ability to teach either in-person or online language courses as needed; ability to work collegially and effectively with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds as well as foster an inclusive classroom and working environment.
