Visiting Position in French at St. Mary's College of Maryland, 2022-23

The Department of International Languages and Cultures at St. Mary’s College of Maryland is accepting applications for a one-year position as Visiting Assistant Professor of French with a specialization in 19th or 20th-century French and francophone studies beginning August 2022.  Teaching responsibilities will include language, literature and culture at all levels.  Teaching load is three courses each semester.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in appropriate field or ABD in appropriate field by fall 2022 expected, as well as teaching experience at the college level.  ABD will be hired at the rank of Visiting Instructor.  Native or near-native proficiency in French and English is required.  The successful candidate must have the necessary documentation to work legally in the U.S. upon hire.
