Assistant Professor Spanish

Emporia State University invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in Spanish, concentration open, to begin in August 2022. The position requires a 4/4 teaching load of twelve hours per semester, across a broad range of courses, including introductory Spanish language instruction, Spanish in the Professions, upper-level language and culture courses, and special topics courses from the candidate’s area of concentration. Scholarly activity and service are also required.

Doctorate preferred; ABD will be considered. Spanish Heritage Language teaching experience and/or K-12 teacher licensure required. Native or near native Spanish and English fluency is expected. Program administration or coordination experience preferred. Team, hybrid, and online teaching experience are also desirable.
