The Department of World Languages and Cultures in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a term faculty appointment in German for Academic Year 2022-2023. Rank of Instructor or Professorial Lecturer will be dependent on education and experience. The appointment is for one academic year (9-month position, fall and spring semesters) and may be renewable, depending on departmental needs. The contract will commence August 29, 2022. The position requires the teaching of three undergraduate courses per semester in the German program. The faculty member will be expected to hold office hours and participate in activities and service of the department and university.
