French Lecturer- Full time

The Department of Global Cultures and Languages at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse—a department committed to high-impact pedagogical practices, diversity, equity, content-based instruction, and cultural competency— invites applications for a full-time, Lecturer position in French to begin August 29, 2022.

Applicants must have native or near-native fluency in French and English. Candidates for the appointment should have completed a Master’s degree in French or related discipline. A Doctorate degree in French studies is preferred. Successful applicants must have relevant experience teaching French to undergraduate students and the ability to design and teach courses in French at all levels of the program.

We are particularly interested in hiring an innovative teacher-scholar who is able to teach advanced conversation and culture courses. The ideal candidate will be able to teach an upper-level course focused on French for professional communication, an intermediate course through the UW-Collaborative Language Program, and a course in their area of expertise.
