Assistant Professor of English

Missouri Southern State University invites applications for a tenure-track full-time assistant professor of English specializing in American literature before 1865, beginning fall of 2020 in Joplin, Missouri. The successful candidate will teach twelve credit hours per semester in literature and composition classes, serve the institution, and pursue a research agenda. The position requires a demonstrated commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level; a record of successful scholarly community engagement is also welcome. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in English before August 1, 2020.
