Soka University of America, Aliso Viejo, California, invites applications to fill a part-time adjunct instructor position in Spanish with a workload of 1-2 courses per semester. This Fall semester (starting September 7, 2022), the instructor will be responsible for teaching Spanish 201 (intermediate level) and/or 306 (intermediate Spanish conversation) contingent upon student enrollment. Applicants should have native or near-native competence in oral/written Spanish, at least an earned.
Candidates should demonstrate responsiveness toward and understanding of diverse student backgrounds, especially with regard to socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, culture, ability/disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity and have a willingness to facilitate the university’s mission to develop global citizens.
M.A. in a relevant field and experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language at the college level.
