Assistant Professor in Computational Linguistics

English: Assistant Professor (tenure-track) to teach undergraduate courses in linguistics; maintain an active research program; advise students; and provide service to the institution.

Require: Ph.D. in Computational Linguistics or a related field by August 2020; proven record of scholarship and publication.

Consideration may be given to candidates with a strong record of research and teaching in computational linguistics, expertise in using computational linguistics methods to address theoretical and/or applied questions, and interests that complement our existing linguistics program.

Miami University’s linguistics program offers a Bachelor of Arts in linguistics, a minor in linguistics, and a graduate certificate in adult teaching English as a second language. Faculty in computational linguistics will collaborate with linguists and natural language processing scholars across campus on the development of an undergraduate minor in computational linguistics and potential contributions to our Bachelor of Arts in data analytics.
