Assistant or Associate Professor of Comparative Literature

The Department of Comparative Literature seeks applications for an assistant or early Associate professor specializing in theory. PhD required.  Successful applicants should work in at least two languages/cultural contexts. Fields of interest include, but are not limited to, literary theory, media or sound theory, politics and aesthetics, race theory, gender theory, environmental humanities, theory of translation or transcultural comparison, and literature and science. We welcome scholars working across different historical periods and genres. Applications should include a cover letter, CV, a writing sample of no more than 25 pages, a statement of how the applicant would contribute to diversity, equity and inclusion in our department and at Cornell (Statement of Contribution to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), and three letters of recommendation.
