The department of Modern Languages and Literatures at Lehigh University invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of French, for the spring 2023 with a strong possibility of renewal for the 2023-24 academic year. Applicants in the field of French Studies or French linguistics are encouraged to apply. An MA in hand or ABD status is required by the time of hire. Native or near-native fluency in both French and English as well as teaching experience are required. A strong commitment to French language instruction at elementary, intermediate, and more advanced levels is essential. The teaching load is three courses per semester.
