Assistant Professor

The Department of English invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of English specializing in Video Game Narrative, beginning July 1, 2023. The appointee will join a growing interdisciplinary group of researchers engaged in collaborative work on video game narrative and Digital Humanities. Expertise in video game narrative and game studies, evidence of excellence in research, a clear commitment to undergraduate education, and the promise of outstanding teaching at the graduate level are required. Applicants should have a strong scholarly profile in criticism and/or theory as applied to video game narratives. In line with the University of Utah's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, we are particularly interested in scholars with a strong secondary or complementary interest in theories of gender and sexuality, race and ethnicity, and/or disability studies.
