freelance writer

The Humanities Institute is a non-profit organisation dedicated to free, online postgraduate research.  We are hiring qualified scholars with a PhD to write short articles for our online library, which covers the main fields in the humanities across the globe (see humanitiesinstitute.org).  At present, we are seeking people to write essays on classic films.  Applicants need not have a background in film theory or cinema studies, only the ability to analyse the story content of a film, its themes and characters.  Each article (c. 4-5,000 words) earns the writer $300.  The number of articles and duration of employment is open-ended, subject to quality control exercised by the Humanities Institute.  Applicants should send a CV, short letter and one or two samples of their writing to Dr Stuart Blackburn (sb12@btinternet.com).
