Assistant Professor of Instruction in French

Northwestern University’s department of French and Italian invites applications for a continuing, full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure eligible teaching-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction in French, to begin September 1, 2023. The initial term of the appointment will be three years. The successful candidate will teach language and culture courses at all levels. Responsibilities include teaching six undergraduate courses distributed over three quarters, strong commitment to curricular and professional development, and course coordination. Native or near native proficiency in French and in English and prior experience teaching French as FL/L2 are required. PhD in French, Second-Language Acquisition, or a related field is required and must be in hand by August 31, 2023.
