Lecturer, Fiction

YALE UNIVERSITY, Department of English, seeks a lecturer in fiction writing beginning July 1, 2023.  This will be an initial appointment of one year with a possible extension of up to four additional years. The course load will be 2/2, along with advising of creative writing projects and independent studies. The courses will be a range of introductory and more advanced undergraduate workshops, directing undergraduate creative writing theses, advising undergraduate students, and contributing to the creative and intellectual life of the department through individual and collaborative initiatives.  The committee would welcome, but does not require, an interest in speculative fiction, broadly defined.

Prior teaching experience of the craft of writing is required.
