Lecturer, Spanish Applied Linguistics

The Department of Languages, Philosophy, & Communication Studies at Utah State University invites applications for a Lecturer in Spanish Applied Linguistics or related field. Candidates should have the ability to manage a Spanish language lower-division program, teach a variety of courses in Spanish, and have a solid teaching background.  The anticipated teaching load for this position is 3/4 (with one of those courses being online). Candidates should have a Doctorate in Applied Linguistics, Second-Language Acquisition, or Foreign Language Education completed by August 2020. Other qualifications and responsibilities include carrying out formative and summative programmatic assessments and regularly communicating that information to the Spanish section; creating and maintaining syllabi that are standardized across various sections; and providing adequate mentoring and professional development for our graduate instructors and adjuncts.
