Assistant Professor of Italian

The Humanities Department of the Eastman School of Music (University of Rochester) invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Italian. This three-year appointment (renewable but non-tenure eligible) will begin on 1 July 2023. Demonstrated commitment to language instruction is essential. Preference will be given to applicants who have a PhD completed by August 2023.

Candidates should be prepared to teach courses in Italian language and electives on Italian topics. Qualified candidates of all areas of research in Italian studies are invited to apply, with preference given for contemporary film and media studies. Ability to teach elementary Spanish welcome but not required for consideration.
