GRINNELL COLLEGE. The Department of GERMAN STUDIES invites applications for a tenure-track appointment beginning Fall 2023. Assistant Professor (Ph.D.) preferred; Instructor (ABD) or Associate Professor possible. Teaching interests should include all levels of German language instruction, as well as courses in German studies taught in both German and English. Research might include but are not limited to the following areas from the German speaking worlds: Jewish Studies (possibly including Yiddish language and culture), Turkish Studies, Black Studies, Gender, Women’s and Sexuality Studies, Transnationality or Migration Studies. Near-Native proficiency in German required.
