GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Department of World Languages at Framingham State University is accepting applications for a full-time temporary faculty position in the Spanish Program. The position begins January 13, 2023. The teaching load is three courses per semester.
EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will teach courses in Spanish linguistics and language at all levels, including a course for Heritage Language Learners. In addition to teaching, the candidate is responsible for academic advising of students and participation in departmental and committee activities.
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Successful experience in teaching at the college/university level.
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion in the curriculum and the classroom.
- PhD in Spanish/Linguistics.
This is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible position in the Massachusetts State College Association (MSCA) bargaining unit at the rank of Assistant Professor. Salary commensurate with experience in accordance with Appendix O of the MSCA contract (http://mscaunion.org/day-and-dgce-contracts/)
