American University of Sharjah, an internationally ranked and accredited American-style university of approximately 5,000 students in the United Arab Emirates, seeks a full-time faculty member with a specialization in any field of literature in English to teach courses in undergraduate literature, general education, and academic writing in the Department of English. Candidates with creative writing expertise and/or interdisciplinary approaches to literature are preferred.
A PhD in a relevant field is required. Successful candidates will have a strong record of excellence in teaching, ongoing scholarly publication, and a demonstrated commitment to productive institutional service.
