Assistant Professor of Film and Media Studies

The Department of English Studies at Western Carolina University is seeking a candidate for a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Film and Media Studies. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and a promising research agenda that focuses on theoretical, cultural, and/or historical aspects of film and media. The teaching load is 3/3 with the expectation of teaching courses in Liberal Studies (general education program), BA, and MA programs. Anticipated start date is August 2023.

The Department especially encourages applications that demonstrate additional expertise in support of our US Latinx Studies Minor Program.
