Assistant Professor of French Studies

The Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is seeking applications for a tenure-track position in post-1900 French Literature and Culture at the rank of assistant professor, to begin fall 2020. PhD in French or related field is required. Teaching responsibilities include upper-division undergraduate and graduate classes in the area of specialization, although the candidate must also demonstrate the ability to teach an undergraduate French Cinema survey. Native or near-native proficiency in French and English is essential. Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and in scholarly research.
