The Department of Spanish and Portuguese Languages and Literatures at New York University invites applicants for two full-time Clinical Assistant Professors of Spanish language to begin September 1st, 2023, pending administrative and budgetary approval.
This is a non-tenure track 3-year appointment, which is renewable by mutual agreement. M.A. minimum with Ph.D. preferred. Candidates should have native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, experience and demonstrated evidence of excellence in Spanish language teaching at all levels (introductory, intermediate, and advanced), solid interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and the willingness to serve on departmental committees. Preferred skills include experience with departmental course coordination; language faculty supervision; training in applied linguistics and teaching in Spanish; and the use of technologies applied to language instruction. Course load: three classes per semester.
