Instructor, I2, Spanish

The Department of Modern Languages and Classics at the University of Alabama invites applications for a non-tenure-earning, full-time Spanish instructor position to begin August 16, 2023. This is a renewable appointment of up to three years (annual renewal based upon satisfactory performance review, staffing needs, and funding). The successful applicant will teach mostly Spanish language courses at first through third-year levels but also occasional offerings in culture, professional skills, and literature. Service is expected. Specific assignments will be needs-based and may include course coordination.
 

The successful candidate must possess native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English and must demonstrate excellence in teaching at the university level. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in Spanish in hand by August 16, 2023 and an ongoing research agenda.
