The Arabic program in the Department of Modern Languages and Classics at the University of Alabama invites applications for a full-time, one-year renewable Arabic Lecturer position starting January 1, 2023. The successful candidate must be willing to teach courses in traditional and occasionally online format in the elementary through advanced levels of Arabic language. In addition, the hire will also be expected to participate in Arabic program service, such as planning courses based on their expertise, assisting with the Arabic club activities, and representing the program at outreach events. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in teaching and service.
 

Requirements:
 

- Native or near-native fluency in Arabic and English.

- Minimum of an M.A in Arabic linguistics, literature, culture, language education, or any related field.

- At least 1-year experience in teaching Arabic undergraduate courses at university level.

- Letter of application.
