Assistant Professor Position in Spanish

The Department of Modern Languages (MODL) in the College of Liberal Arts, the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Spanish at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2023.


Candidates must demonstrate a record of, or potential for, excellence in research, teaching, and service, as well as for funded research activity. Applicants should be qualified to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Spanish Translation and Interpreting; Spanish for the Professions, or Spanish Localization; Spanish language and/or Hispanic culture.
 

In accordance with USCIS regulations, successful applicants must be legally able to accept work in the United States.

The Department of Modern Languages offers a B.A. in Spanish for Global Competence, a B.A. in Spanish Translation & Interpreting, an M.A. in Modern Languages-Spanish, as well as minors and certificates in Spanish, Spanish Translation, Spanish Interpreting, Spanish for the Professions, Spanish for Global Health and Human Services, and Localization and Translation-Spanish.
