Assistant Professor in English

Providence College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in English beginning in the fall of 2023. Candidates must possess an MFA and/or Ph.D. in Creative Writing with a specialty in Creative Non-Fiction by the time of appointment. This position comes with a teaching load of 3-3. The candidate can expect to teach creative writing courses, as well as the college’s first-year core writing courses.  

Candidates will have outstanding and ongoing publications in Creative Non-Fiction; a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching, and a strong commitment to serving diverse students through a lens of equity and inclusion. Additionally, candidates must have the willingness to be active in service to the department, the college, and the community.
