Job Announcement – Non-Tenure-Track Lecturer in English Literature

The Department of Communication and Media in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute invites applications for a full-time lecturer in English Literature beginning in Fall 2023. The Department of Communication and Media offers competitive programs for students seeking rigorous interdisciplinary degrees in communications, media, and design that enable them to skillfully employ various new and emerging communication technologies. The successful candidate must hold an M.F.A., Ph.D., or foreign degree equivalent at the time of appointment and have successful teaching experience at the collegiate level. A minimum of three years of professional experience is preferred.

We seek candidates with expertise in any period or genre, but particularly desirable areas are Modern and Contemporary American Literature, Literature and Film, World Literature, Science Fiction, and diversity and equity.
