Lecturer of French

FRENCH, WESTMINSTER COLLEGE. Lecturer of French position to begin Fall 2023. The Westminster College Department of Modern Languages seeks a broadly trained faculty member in French language and culture.  Ability to teach an additional language is desirable but not required. 

Applicants must demonstrate excellence in teaching and the ability to work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. A commitment to undergraduate teaching and liberal arts education is essential.

Applicants should have near-native proficiency in French and an advanced degree in a related field. The normal teaching load is four courses per semester (in person) over a two-semester calendar. Responsibilities will primarily consist of teaching introductory and intermediate courses in French language and culture, with additional upper-level coursework related to Westminster’s French minor.  Teaching load may also include occasional instruction in Westminster’s First Year Program.
