VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN GERMAN STUDIES

The German Studies Program in the Department of Modern Languages & Literatures at Union College (Schenectady, NY) is seeking a candidate for a one-year visiting position. We seek a colleague with demonstrated excellence at all levels of language instruction (native or near-native fluency in German is required), potential to teach upper-level cultural studies-oriented courses in German and/or translation, and notable interest in coordinating co-curricular related programs. Specialization open; interest in offering courses that contribute to the College’s interdisciplinary programs (https://www.union.edu/interdisciplinary-studies) and to its new General Education Program (https://www.union.edu/global-challenges-social-justice) is preferred. Appointment beginning in September of 2023. PhD in hand by August 2023. Visitors at Union have access to research and travel funds and other benefits.
